1. Co-sponsors joint festivals for the celebration of the Buddha's
birth (Vesak).
2. Periodically presents the Bodhi Award to individuals in recognition
of tireless teaching of wisdom and compassion, unbounded dedication
to all beings, and altruistic efforts leading toward the path of
enlightenment, peace and harmony.
3. Sponsors periodic seminars on Buddhist topics of interest.
4. Maintains a Bureau of Speakers, including knowledgeable monks
and lay persons, available to address audiences and to discuss Buddhist
topics of interest.
5. Publishes the Journal of the American Buddhist Congress.
6. Assists Buddhist and non-Buddhist organizations and temples,
as requested, and co-sponsors programs and activities for the welfare
of Buddhism and the dissemination of the Dhamma.
7. Assists temples in grant proposal writing in order to help find
funding for local, non-sectarian community service projects.
